First steps to a Spanish Peace Factory

In April 2008 some international guests visited Fortress De Bilt and the mobile exhibition The Peace Factory. The visitors participated in a delegation from the Evens Foundation in Antwerp.

There was an intense exchange of expertise with representatives of the Guernica Peace Museum about the possibilities to develop a Spanish version of the Peace Factory, after the successful launch of the French version La Fabrique de la Paix in Paris. Mrs Concha Gimenez de Solana, Mrs Maud Aguirre and Mrs Laura D'Halleweyn represented the Evens Foundation.

Also a member of the Belgian parliament and mayor of Schilde, Mrs Yolande Avontroodt and elderman of education Mr. Olivier Verhulst took part in the visit and searched for possibilities for the Peace Factory in the Flemish region.
