The Utrecht
foundation Peace Education Project organized at the end of March 2007 an
expert meeting “Interactive learning in the Peace Factory” for a group of
educationalists from Paris.
The participants visited the Dutch version of the Peace Factory in a school
in Leiderdorp. There was an intensive exchange of expertise on interactive
learning, that was invented by Peace Education Projects. During the seminar
the participants agreed upon a transformation of the Dutch interactive
exhibition into a French “Fabrique de la Paix”.

The exhibition will be completely produced in the

take place in autumn of that year during the national ‘Salon de l’ éducation’
in Paris.
La ligue de l’enseignement will be responsible for the project in France. La
ligue is a national organization for educational innovation and has offices
in all French counties. La ligue is supported by the French organization
CIDEM, which coordinates a network for civics and democracy.
The Evens Foundation took the initiative for the project and will be the main
sponsor as well. The Evens Foundation was founded by the late Antwerp diamond
salesman and philantropist Georges Evens and has offices in Antwerp, Paris
and Warschau.
